Submission Guidelines
We welcome submissions that explicitly apply feminist institutionalist (FI) frameworks. We invite extended abstracts of 300 to 500 words (references excluded) that clearly outline the research focus, theoretical framework, and engagement with feminist institutionalism, institutional context and case(s), methodological or analytical approach, key insights or preliminary findings, and the contribution the paper makes to feminist institutionalism.
If you wish to propose a full panel, please submit the paper abstracts individually and send an email to FIIN2027@akademikonferens.se indicating which papers and authors (up to five) you would like to be included in the panel.
We welcome submissions from academics at all career stages, practitioner‑scholars, independent researchers, and both empirical and theoretical contributions. We generally aim for panels to include both senior and junior scholars.
We can subsidize the registration fee for a small number of junior scholars and scholars from the Global South.
Deadlines
June 3 – Abstract submission opens
September 10 – Deadline abstract submission

The conference is organized by the Feminism and Institutionalism International Network (FIIN), a body of feminist scholars from over 50 countries who study social and political institutions through a gender lens. FIIN was inaugurated at a workshop at the University of Edinburgh in December 2006. This conference thus marks twenty years of feminist institutionalism. For more information about FIIN, see www.femfiin.org
